Testing 1, 2, 3
Hi... this is a quick note to test my ability to post photos to our blog. Seems that it works! These are some of the people and experiences we are looking forward to when we return to Uganda.

Guess since we are back home now we'll have to wait for the next visit to Uganda for more "firsts"
Had a steady stream of visitiors on our last two days, coming to say goodbye to us... that was so humbling and touching
Got a mild case of food poisioning but got better quickly... thanks for praying!
Saw pineapples, coffee, sugar cane growing
Dipped a toe in the River Nile... can you tell seeing this river was a huge thing for us?!
Slept beside the River Nile
Went for a boat ride over Victoria Falls :-) and all around the Source of the River Nile
Saw Bujagali Falls on the River Nile up close
Drove over the first dam on the River Nile
Travelled to Jinga on Lake Victoria
Walked from Production Unit (way down) to Vocational Carpentry Class (way up) carrying a load of tools and several 6 ft planks - C
Spent 1.5 hours taking out 125 braids from my hair getting ready for the long plane trip home - N
Experienced our 2nd extreme rain, thunder, lighhting storm on Suubi Mountian - torrential rain for about 5 hours today complete with all the special effects!
Made an end table along with the class with hand tools only - Chad
Sat for 8 hours to have hair braided - C! Well okay, maybe it was N
Ate Katoga and loved it!
attended church on Suubi Mountain
ate at Pizza Hot, Kampala
Fell asleep listening to drums, crickets, birds chirping, music from the village below loud enough to be heard over the entire mountain
Saw the afteraffects of the "shedding of wings" night
Tried out the recipe for Eat More Bars on Ugandans (pretty sweet but they seemed to enjoy it and wanted the recipe) - N
Drove a right-handed vehicle in Suubi - C
Shopped at a roadside market (translation: risking life and limb! - C
Walked through the taxi park
Walked through the downtown market in Kampala (escorted)
Took a ride in Ugandan public transport
Had a vehicle breakdown on the road to Kampala
Taught Ugandan boys some carpentry skills - C
Taught Ugandan girls to crochet - N
Worked in Production Tailoring/Shop
Celebrated a birthday in Uganda
Cooked and ate plantain
Lived on Suubi Mountain
Saw the Crown Jewels and met an actual Beefeater
Cruised the River Thames
Felt London rain!
Tour on a London Double Decker Bus, actually in London
Ride on the London Underground
Heading to Uganda on our own, without Peter :-)
