News of the WAHOO kind!

Well, we received news this evening that Chad and I are going to be the first residents of a volunteer flat located right on Suubi Mountain (pronounced sue bee)!  This may not seem like big news but oh, it is!  Suubi Children's village and the Vocation Centre is where Chad and I will be volunteering most of the time we are in Uganda.  Kampala is the capital city where all volunteers have been staying to date... it is a good hour away from Suubi and so there is the matter of travelling back and forth by bus (yikes) or taxi (double yikes) every day.  The roads are comparative to PEI rural roads before the Spring thaw - not so bad but you get a little motion sick driving them for long distances.  Friends in Uganda working along with Watoto Ministries are setting up this flat next week in preparation for our arrival.  Thanks so much to Gerry, Donna, Kris and Jonathan for working this out.
So... we'll be cooking our own meals!  I wonder how that is going to work out?  Could get interesting!
10 days and counting...
