We're Off!

Departure day has arrived!  Well almost.  The morning will be too rushed getting away so I wanted to post one last little note...

There was a send-off at the church tonight, made so special by friends and family present.  Some kind things were said, some laughs shared, some treats to eat and wonderful music.  Thanks so much to John for the thoughtful videos and powerful scripture verses that rang so true to my heart!; to Sherry and others for the great treats; to those with hugs and kind words, reminders that they will pray; to Laura and Hannah for the songs of blessing; to our kids for being there and letting us know once again that they support what their sometimes crazy parents are doing - we really did appreciate your presence.  The team that we went with the last time know so well what lies ahead... wish you were all coming with us this time but know that you really are... in our hearts!  To Peter and Dora who mentioned it, we would gladly have taken you in our luggage except we are over our allowed limit now!  We promise to bring your love and greetings from the team to our mutual friends in Uganda.  We'll miss the evening worship times we had together with the guitars.  And we'll miss having all the cameras that caught so many things that just one camera won't be able to do!

So, tomorrow we are on our way.  It will be Wednesday morning before we land in Entebbe, the middle of the night here.  As mentioned earlier, we'll do our best to keep you up to date but we expect our time with internet access will be limited.  And if we have to choose between living and blogging, you know what we will choose, but we will try.

THANKS SO MUCH to all those who have made this possible by your love, your contributions, your prayers.  God is so good and He has been good to us through you.

I've been bothered a bit by several weather-related migraines in the past couple of days so would appreciate prayer as they make it uncomfortable for travel and sleeping.  Thanks

I'm so thankful that I had the chance to experience Africa with you last time and I'm so grateful for everything God has done in your life to send you back. Count me among those who wish they were in your suitcases! Praying for you both, give my love to everyone there, and can't wait to hear what God is doing when you come back!

Nancy and Chad,
Thank you for the sacrifice in making this trip to Watoto possible.

I just want to say we don't take your efforts for granted and truly appreciate the partnership.

We look forward to hosting you and am certain you'll have a great experience both with Watoto and our beautiful country- Uganda.

Thank you Edwin. We have yet to meet you I believe but am touched by your note to us. We are enjoying being in Uganda if only for a few short weeks and are particularly blessed to be living right on Suubi Mountain.
